Tynemouth Aquarium will sadly close its doors once again in response to the country’s second lockdown.
Our Bay and Laurel Restaurant will remain open for takeaway services.
The aquarium will close to the public from Thursday 5th November in line with the National lockdown. This is to reduce the number of Covid-19 cases across the country, and to ease pressures on the NHS.
Our animals will continue to receive first class care from our team of expert aquarists throughout.
In the days ahead, we will continue to adhere to guidance from the government on an appropriate timing to reopen to the public, and will communicate this on our website and via social media when we know more.
Tickets to Tynemouth Aquarium purchased online are valid for 6 months from date of purchase and can be used once the Aquarium re-opens to the public.
If you have any questions for Tynemouth Aquarium please contact our team on hello@tynemouthaquarium.co.uk.
We’ll see you during lockdown to serve you some delicious takeaway food and drinks – stay safe!
